World Oceans Day activities from across OSU

Officially recognized by the UN General Assembly in 2008, World Oceans Day is a global celebration of the ocean held every June 8th.
It is meant to raise awareness of the ocean’s importance and the many issues it faces. The World Oceans Day 2020 theme is Innovation for a Sustainable Ocean. OSU reflects and celebrates innovation in countless ways. This year, the Marine Studies Initiative is celebrating by showcasing a variety of inspiring World Ocean Day/Week events, educational activities, videos, podcasts and more!

After the creation of SCUBA diving equipment, we could now enter this world and see these environments first-hand.
