Starting in October, join us in touring coastal locations and exploring

 

  • Hatfield Marine Science Center, including the new Marine Studies Building
  • Experiential learning opportunities for your students
  • Resources at the coast for teaching and research

Here’s what our day at the coast will look like

8:30 am- Depart Corvallis

10:15 am- Begin Tour of Hatfield Marine Science Center

12:00 pm- hosted Lunch at HMSC

12:45 pm- begin tour of coastal locations, which could include depending on participant interests:

  • Research vessels
  • Dock walk along Newport’s working waterfront, with local industry hosts
  • Pacific Maritime and Heritage Museum
  • Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area
  • Seafood farm (oyster) and/or processing facility
  • Newport Visual Arts Center

3:30 pm- Depart Newport

4:30-5:00 pm Return to Corvallis
